Aguinaldo "Gui Gui" Ferreira, Head Coach

Gui Gui a Brazilian born Cabo Verdean whose coaching experience spans nearly three decades started on the west coast. Gui Gui has coached at various levels amassing honors along the way. At the youth and scholastic level he has won National Championships honors. Players who have come through the ranks of Gui Gui's tutelage such as Amy Rodriguez, Kasey Moore, Kiki Bosio among others, have accomplish All American honors as well as setting their presence with USA National teams which have participated in World Cups and Olympic games.

In its maiden season as a full professional outfit and Houston's first professional women's team, The Houston Aces appointed Gui Gui to hold the reign for 2013 season. He guided The Aces to an undefeated regular season recording 21 wins Zero losses and Zero Ties. His squad outscored the opposition 69 to 6. Along the way, his team won the 2013 USASA National Championship along with the conference and division league competitions. The only loss suffered was at the WPSL National Championship. He led players Dyanne Anderson-Defender of the Year and Katherine Fitzsimmons -Goalkeeper of the Year to their first WPSL year end awards. Gui Gui led more players to honors for conference as well as all-WPSL.

Gui Gui holds a USSF “B” National License, NSCAA Advance National License, National Strength and Conditioning Certificate. He possesses international experience which included acting as the USSF liaison to the Brazilian Men’s National team during the Friendship Cup and as a CONCACAF Gold Cup Liaison in 1996. Several players under Gui Gui’s influential coaching have gone to play for perennial powerhouses in the NCAA. Ferreira is fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese.

Victor Ruiz, Assistant Coach

Victor has 17 years of coaching all levels College, ODP, Club, and High School. Victor holds a USSF C license and the following accomplishments in women’s soccer: a National title with Cal South ODP Girls, 5 Regional championships Cal South ODP Girls, Regional championship runner up Nevada ODP Girls, H.S. State Championship Girls in San Diego, CA and Semi-Finalist Women's Junior College.
